Oh Andrea I so relate to much of this! Single-hood is challenging. Happy to commiserate over drinks sometime if you'd like.

So much of this resonates with me. You are not alone! Sometimes I think we women should just pair up with each other!

In the early match.com days of swiping, Matt's dad lured me in with the dead fish. Silly me thought there would be an omakase boat at the end of the rainbow. Maybe we should go out for sushi?

I absolutely love your writing. I want more - and one day, I know we’ll be discussing your book in our group! J sounds very frustrating. And while I don’t particularly care about him, I’m curious what happened to him. Why couldn’t he have just said, ‘that was my ex, we talked and we want to work it out,’ or anything. I don’t understand the ghosting thing at all. Just keep writing!!

I’m so sorry you experienced such emotional pain. Perhaps, finding someone with similar interests when you are out and about. Meet lots of new people who may know someone for you. Good luck and don’t take the process too seriously. I enjoy reading your blogs. You are a great writer!

Andrea, you are a person who writes about food. Turns out that the person is at least as interesting and compelling and necessary as the food she writes about. Please serve whatever is fresh for you. We are hungry for it.

Wow, as said below, what a d-head! Sorry for what you went through...twice. Good for you for putting yourself out there despite the awful experience. Congrats on the multiple NYCMs. I've been lucky enough to run it once (also slowly) - one of the best days of my life!

Wow. Very moving. Having a cat helps. Drink some Swee toch née and some good Persian cookies. Repeat as needed. Remember you are loved. Ron E
