More of Poppy's coming to the Columbia Waterfront tomorrow morning!

For now, I have a delicious little bit of news for your Tuesday afternoon. Poppy’s, the beloved all-day cafe from Jamie Erickson, adored for overstuffed egg and cheese biscuit sandwiches, lemon poppyseed loaves, market salad boxes, and farm-raised rotisserie chickens, is opening Poppy’s Outpost at 191 Columbia Street tomorrow morning bright and early at 8am!
The O U T P O S T (open daily from 8am-1pm) is little different than Jamie’s usual cafes in that it’s a take-away window located at the front of Poppy’s pastry commissary where everything is baked fresh on site. “We will use this as a testing ground for new pastry specials for our other full cafe + markets, and it will offer full barista menu plus a great selection for pastries on the go,” Jamie told me today when we chatted.
Expect savory egg danishes, chai spice buns, seasonal frittatas, focaccia, cherry galettes, and more!! Whether you’re on the block, sitting in traffic on the way to the BQE or on the path down to Brooklyn Bridge Park— it’s the perfect spot on the go ☺️✨ YAY for Jamie and see you there!
