So Many Fests (and one cool new resto)

Your weekend starts here.

The weekend is almost here; and we’ve got a new Korean handroll bar and three all day food fests to keep you busy.

As for me, I’m going to the opera Friday night to see Dead Man Walking. Let’s be clear, I am not an opera person, but I loved this book, and worked on death penalty appeals while in law school, so it called me. I’ll report back.

Saturday I’ll be drinking Cider during the day with Jimmy Carbone (see below), and that evening I am heading to Raf’s to celebrate my friend Talya’s birthday; I am so excited to finally try chef Mary Attea’s menu.

On Sunday, I think I’ll be out at Fall Fest in the Rockaways (more below), and Monday, the kids and I are going to celebrate the Green Bronx Machine and all their amazing work in public schools at their first annual Gala.
