Not sure if you’ve been to Scarlet Lounge yet, but it’s a new-ish cocktail bar on the Upper West Side from actor Michael Imperioli, his wife Victoria, who designed the bar, and Upper West Side restaurateur and local legend Jeremy Wladis.
They’ve just added live music every Monday night from pianist Charlie Judkins, who’s playing Ragtime, Traditional Jazz and Blues every Monday from 6 - 7, and 8 - 9pm. He usually has a guest with him, either a saxophonist or Miss Maybell, who performs songs from 1900-1929. There is no cover.
Scarlet's cocktail program leans into the era with a collection of Roaring Twenties Classics; Signatures include The Scarlet Letter: Pomegranate-Infused Grey Goose Vodka, Red Wine Gastrique, Luxardo Cherry, Cointreau, Lemon, Cardamom Bitters, Thyme; The Smoked Boulevardier: Barrel Aged Bourbon, Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth, Coconut Washed Campari, Angostura, Cherry Wood Smoke, Dark Chocolate; and as an homage to Mr. Imperioli The White Lotus: Clarified Don Q Cristal Rum, Pineapple, Yuzu, Coconut Sugar, Champagne. If you’re not drinking, there’s a large selection of Zero Proof mixed drinks, both alcohol and NA beer and wine. The menu of hot and cold snacks was created by Strong Buzz pal Joey Fortunato.
Scarlet Lounge is located at 468 Amsterdam Avenue (83 Street). Hope to see you there!
