I didn’t realize I could tell a ghost story, until, well, I had one to tell.
On Tuesday November 8th, just two days after (I think) I will be running the NYC Marathon for the 3rd time (#slowestrunnerever), I will be doing a ghastly and ghostly reading as part of the all-start cast of READ THE ROOM: GHOST STORIES: Tales of Life and Death.
This series, produced by my dear friends Kathleen Squires and Ronnie Rodriguez, offers a salon-styled evening of readings by some of New York's leading writers. My fellow readers represent a broad cross-section of the literary world, featuring authors of published works from top magazines, newspapers, websites and books. For this installment, Kathy and Ronnie are celebrating the “spooky season with me, along with these fabulous writers (in addition to myself and Kathy):
Marie Carter, tour guide, Boroughs of the Dead
Richard Morgan, The Washington Post
Pervaiz Shallwani, The Wall Street Journal, and
Victoria M. Walker, AFAR
Please come join me at this delicious buffet of contemporary literature, served alongside wine, beer, and snacks. I hope to see some Strong Buzz folks in the audience listening to our dark and stormy tales.
Oh, one more thing, this is not a money-making thing; the ticket proceeds ($35 each) go to covering the food, wine and clean-up.
Read the Room is hosted at the Chef’s Dinner Table, 132 Mulberry St. Suite 502 New York, NY 10013 from 6:30-8:30pm. Get your tickets here!
