Meet-and-greet with the team behind Conniption Gin at The Wesley
On Wednesday March 8th, Melissa Katrincic, the co-founder of Durham Distillery and producer of Conniption Gin, will be at The Wesley, the new restaurant and debut project from Mulberry Hospitality and executive Chef Santiago Astudillo (previously of Le Bernardin and Daniel). The restaurant offers a vegetable-focused and produce-driven menu alongside a unique, sustainable beverage program featuring fresh ingredients and locally-made spirits, and a wine list of predominantly female producers curated by Gabriel Maldonado (previously of Jean-Georges and Le Cou Cou).
Now, about Melissa; she is the CEO and co-founder of Durham Distillery, and the first female U.S. distiller inducted into The Gin Guild. The distillery was conceived in 2013 in Durham, North Carolina, offering a gin that places emphasis on their cucumber-infusion with notes of juniper, coriander, cardamom, orange peel, and angelica root.
On March 8th, Melissa will be on hand, mingling and making exclusive cocktails for you! She will also be showcasing The Wesley’s Conniption cocktail, which highlights Conniption gin, mezcal espadin, dry vermouth, and celery.
No reservations are required for the bar, but if you want to make them ahead of time, reservations are available via Resy.
