Big News: Danny Meyer to Open at the Hotel Bossert
Montague Street will welcome Union Square Hospitality Group's first full-service Brooklyn Restaurant
Almost a year ago now, I broke the news that the Hotel Bossert, at 98 Montague Street at Hicks Street for 117 years now, was acquired by real estate developer SomeraRoad with a plan was to reopen the building as luxury residences with an anchor restaurant tenant to be determined.
Today, the team emailed me with the news that Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group has been chosen to run the F&B; it will open its first full service restaurant in the hotel’s 3,200 square feet of prime ground-floor space in late 2028. So far a name and concept for the restaurant have not been decided.
“Change happens slowly; you can’t click your heels,” said Ian Ross, founder of SomeraRoad, and a longtime Brooklyn Heights resident. “When I look down and up the block, I am enthralled with what is going on.”
This is a developing story and I will update with more as I have more on the concept and the like.

This is Amazing news!! I lived down the street from this building for years before I had my kids who are now 10 & 12 and it was under construction even then. Looking forward to this opening!
